Violin Studio
Teaching
Lessons for every level, in person near UNT and online.
No two students learn the same way, so no two of my lessons look alike.
I have taught violin since 2014, from absolute beginners taking their first steps to advanced players preparing for auditions and exams.
That work has spanned conservatory classrooms and private studios, in person and online, in Bangkok and now in Texas, where I serve as teaching assistant to Professor Julia Bushkova at the University of North Texas.
I have taught children and adults, the shy and the fearless, and students with ASD and ADHD.
Each one needs something a little different. Finding what that is, and watching it click, has always been the part I love most.
Teaching Philosophy
My approach is rooted in the belief that every student is unique, bringing their own strengths and aspirations to the instrument. I strive to create a supportive, engaging environment where lessons are tailored specifically to the individual, ensuring they are always progressing while finding genuine joy in their practice.
While I emphasize building a solid technical foundation as a crucial step toward mastery, nurturing creativity and musical interpretation is equally important to me. I encourage my students to explore the emotional depth behind the music they play, helping them connect more deeply with their repertoire. Ultimately, my goal is to guide students toward becoming well-rounded, confident musicians with a lifelong passion for the violin.
What we work on together
Every lesson is tailored, but it usually lives in one of these four areas.

Technique
From posture and setup to advanced bowing and fingering.

Repertoire
Classical and contemporary music chosen to fit your level.

Musicianship & Performance
Playing with feeling, and playing with confidence on stage.

Audition & Exam Prep
Focused, calm preparation for exams and auditions.

Those milestones are wonderful. But the ones I hold onto are quieter: the beginner who finally plays a phrase with ease, the nervous student who walks into an exam calm.
